Events at the site are added using The Events Calendar (TEC), which features a robust set of features and a large number of premium add-ons as well. Until and unless, however, you’re offering a large number of events of different types, you can get a long way just sticking to the examples provided already, duplicating them to create new events of the two main types – online or live – and adding or adjusting basic elements like description, short description, date, time, and address from the Event editing screen.
There are, however, some specific features of the TEC implementation at this site worth keeping in mind:
- Events are currently set to appear within the “blog loop” – that is, along with News and History Articles in the Articles archive.
- Events can be associated by terms – category, tag, or biographical category – with other post types for “related posts.”
