Support the Forgotten Victory Trail
We invite you to join our mission by making a contribution to the Forgotten Victory Trail — a growing, grassroots effort to honor the overlooked heroes of the Revolutionary War, especially those who fought in New Jersey during the critical campaigns of 1780.
Your donation will directly support our work installing historic markers, creating educational materials, developing student programs, and uncovering stories of our forgotten Black heroes, local militias, and families whose sacrifices shaped our nation’s founding.
You can make a donation in honor of an ancestor, someone currently serving in the military, or for the children of the future- so they have a chance to at least know.

Please note:
If you’re wondering why the mailing address is in Maryland — here’s why. Our small organization extends outside of New Jersey, but all were born and raised in New Jersey …for good measure. Steve takes care of membership and donations, but relocated to Maryland many years ago. His ancestors served in the Essex County militia during the Revolutionary War, and one of them even owned the Timothy Ball home in Maplewood, a site close to the battles we now commemorate.
We are honored by your interest and support. Please stay with us as we expand the Forgotten Victory Trail across New Jersey — one historic marker, one chapter, one story at a time.
With gratitude,
The Forgotten Victory Team
